BCMP at Gardner Museum

The Bostonia Players were founded in 1979 as "String Quartets for Elegant Occasions." The string quartet format, consisting of two violins, a viola, and a cello, has attracted the greatest composers of the last three centuries. As a result, we can offer music from the Elizabethan era to the present, encompassing the standard literature of Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and others, as well as arrangements of such favorites as Pachelbel Canon, Bach Air on the G String, Strauss waltzes, Rags, Gershwin songs, and Jazz.

The Bostonia Players have played countless weddings, receptions, parties, dinners, religious ceremonies, special events, corporate functions and conventions, and are happy to provide references.

The Bostonia Players are full time professional musicians from the Boston area. Our individual credits are with the major cultural organizations in and around the city.Newly wed couple

The Bostonia Players recommend the string quartet as the ensemble of choice, but we can provide duets or trios to suit your needs.

The founder and Director The Bostonia Players, Inge Thorn Engler, will work with you to plan the music for your particular event.

"Thank you so very much for travelling so far to add so much to our fairytale wedding!

You received rave reviews from so many people"

Inge and the Bostonia Chamber Music Players gave me a level of personal service and attention that surpassed anyone else I worked with. It's hard to find people who take your wedding as seriously as you do! Thanks, Inge, you've gone way above and beyond professionalism, been unflinchingly responsive and flexible, and made my dream come true!
